The people of Oregon voted for the legalization of weed in 2014, and this law called Measure 91 took full effect on July 1st, 2015. Since then, the state has issued 606 dispensary licenses. Today the laws of possession of weed in Oregon state that one can carry up to one ounce of weed in public completely legal, up to two ounces it is punishable with a $650 fine and anything more is punishable with a jail sentence and monetary fine. People at home can keep up to eight ounces and can grow up to four plants.

The State of Oregon taxes the sales of marijuana, and it is expected that the sales of medical marijuana will hit $59,000,000 and the recreational marijuana sales will soar up to amazing $848,000,000 by 2022.
