Best CBD Tincture

I’m going to start with the absolute basics here to kick things off. Hemp is one of the oldest cultivated plants in the world. And is the most hybridized plant of all. These two facts are amazing by themselves, but hemp (industrial hemp or Cannabis Sativa) also has many, many other desirable properties.

Hemp is used as raw material for producing many items like paper, clothes, insulation, food, and more. But a very famous thing about the hemp plant is its medicinal properties. The folks way back in the day were quite familiar with the medicinal effects of the hemp plant and have used it as a remedy in different forms. One of the most popular forms is the use of the industrial hemp to make CBD tincture.

What Is CBD Oil Tincture?

The hemp plant produces a lot of active phytocannabinoids – and the main portion of these falls to the famous Cannabidiol or CBD, as many of you know it. The CBD does not have any psychotropic effects (compared to THC – another very abundant phytocannabinoid in some strains of the Cannabis plant).

CBD is a natural compound. It’s found in all the parts of the plant, but the seeds contain the highest amount. The CBD is extracted from the plant/seeds by pressing, CO2 extraction and processing, and the derived product is CBD rich hemp oil. Depending on the production process, the CBD hemp oil is mainly clear, with light to dark green color and its natural taste is nutty to grassy.

This CBD oil tincture does not have any psychoactive effects on the body and is legal across the US and in about 40 countries around the world. Depending on the manufacturers, the CBD tinctures on the market today contain mainly hemp-derived CBD, but many producers add hemp seed oil with natural hemp terpenes, coconut oil, grapeseed oil and even some natural flavors to add to the taste of the pure CBD oil.

Why And How To Use It

The CBD influences and supports the body’s endocannabinoid system, having especially useful effects on the brain and the nervous system. CBD is also known to help in alleviating joint pains. It’s been said to act as an anti-inflammatory and has even been shown to have very positive effects in treating epilepsy. This information is of course based on information that researched and read.

However, the FDA hasn’t approved any product that contains CBD (or other hemp extracts) as a legal treatment for any health issue, and all the CBD oil tinctures and other CBD products on the market today are advertised and can be purchased as a food supplement.

The easiest and simplest way to get your hands on CBD is by buying a CBD oil tincture found in health food stores and specialty stores. Many CBD manufacturers have prescribed manners of using their CBD tinctures/oils, but there is a common method of taking any CBD oil tincture.

Shake the bottle. The CBD oil tincture is actually a mix of CBD, some carrier oil (hemp seed oil, coconut oil, grapeseed oil) and in some cases natural flavors. Shaking the bottle before use ensures that all the ingredients are mixed thoroughly and you’ll get a drop of oil with all the goodies in it.
Under the tongue. The most effective manner of taking any CBD oil tincture is to take it sublingually – several drops under the tongue.

There is an abundance of blood vessels under the tongue and the thin mucous layer enables quick absorption of the CBD oil. In most cases, it is good to hold the tincture under the tongue for about 60 seconds before swallowing. Due to the taste (nutty, earthy or grassy), it is recommended that you drink some water after this.

Another simple method for taking CBD is to add it to your food and drinks. You can simply sprinkle your preferred dose of CBD oil tincture over your food and enjoy your meal. We should note here this kind of use of CBD oil tincture has slower absorption time, and if you are looking for a fast delivery method, then a few drops under the tongue is the way to go.

Here are a couple of frequently asked questions about this type of product that I get a lot:

Can you smoke CBD tincture? No, if you’re purchasing this to physically smoke in a, then you’re doing it all wrong. Physically smoking this like you would any other liquid, then you’re doing it wrong.

Can you vape CBD tincture? Again, I strongly advise against trying to vape this. If you’re interested in doing so, then you’re better off trying a vape additive that contains CBD. There are lots of brands out there that specifically create products meant for this.

Is using a CBD tincture good if you have ulcerative colitis? Honestly, I’m not comfortable with answering such a question. Are you dealing with serious medical issues? If specifically, this or any other type condition, then I suggest you connect with a professional before taking any CBDs.
